Ratilal Kansodaria (b. 1961) was born and raised in a small village of farmers in Gujarat, India. His sculptural works, mainly in bronze, are inspired by his memories of village life and its culture.
Kansodaria studied at Sheth CN College of Fine Arts (1987) and completed his education at MS University in Baroda (1990). His works have been exhibited nationally including the Sculpt Carve Chisel, Art Explora, New Delhi (2022), Plots & Points, Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai (2021), Times Art Fest, Times & Adani group (2020), and internationally at GTZ-Germany, Australia, Dhaka, and Nairobi. He has participated in various art events such as the International Contemporary Art Triennial, Japan, Guizhou International Art Expo, China, and the Changbai Mountain International Sculpture Symposium (2015). Kansodaria has also received several accolades and has been awarded several national and state level awards and honours since 1990, including an International Art Horizon Award, New York, USA, early in his career.
