Pavitra Kapur (b. 1979) is visual artist and art conservator whose artistic practice deals with physical spaces and their architecture. Working primarily with graphite pencils on fine-grain paper, with occasional use of colour pencils, she slowly builds up real and imagined structures as a means of finding an emotional centre.
Kapur has completed her M.A. Conservation from the National Museum Institute of History of Art, Conservation & Museology, New Delhi (2008) and Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialisation in Painting from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, (2003). She has been a student and practising artist at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi since 2017. Her works have been included in several exhibitions such as 95th Annual All India Art Exhibition 2022, All-India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (2022), Accessible Art, Surrendra Paul Art Gallery, Delhi (2022), Art Mela, 105arts, Chandigarh (2022), Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi (2022) and the 93rd & 94th Annual All India Art Exhibition 2022, India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (2022).
