Monika Sonik (b. 1984) is a contemporary artist, primarily known for her paintings that traverse various mediums and emotions. Her art is a reflection of a profound connection with the energy of objects, drawing from her belief that each artwork carries the energy of past life cycles, creating a bridge between the past and the present.
Sonik completed her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the prestigious Government College of Fine Arts, Indore. She has participated in several exhibitions including International Women’s Art festival FRIDA, Tirana Art Gallery, Albania(2023), 4th National Tagore Exhibition, Vishwarang, Bhopal (2022), Pradarshak Art Gallery (2022), Udyan Studio (2022), Hope, Capital Culture, Spain (2022), Apparao Art Gallery, The Magnolias Club, Gurgaon, Delhi (2022), Of Vista’s from Vistas, Apparao Art Gallery (2022) among others. Sonik has also garnered several awards, including the 2nd Prize at the Ekagrah Foundation Art Exhibition & Competition and the Silver Medal she earned from Chandigarh University's Fine Arts Department. Furthermore, she proudly represented India at the "Visibility-Remembrance" exhibition hosted by South Florida University.
