K. Yuvaraj (b. 1981) is an emerging artist based in Chennai. Yuvaraj delights in portraying his vivid imagination through his artwork. He holds a deep conviction in the interconnectedness of all beings in the world. Responding to the societal challenges and adversities faced by individuals, the artist continues to explore and reflect upon them, recognizing the divisive nature of politicisation. Additionally, Yuvaraj offers heartfelt portrayals of the bond between families and their beloved pet dogs on canvas. Through his paintings, he seeks to convey his thoughts in a humble manner, echoing the philosophical notion of unity espoused by Kaniyan Poonkundranar.
Yuvaraj has earned both his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree (2003-07) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in ceramics (2008-10) from College of fine arts Egmore, Chennai. He has recently showcased his works at 63rd National Exhibition of at Lalit Kala Art Gallery, Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi (2023); Roots & Routes, Three man show at Art World Sarala's Art Centre, Chennai (2023). His work have been previously showcased in several exhibitions including Self-Reflection curated by Vaishnavi Ramanathan at InKo Gallery Centre, Chennai (2023); Pictorial Journey, Three man show at kadambari art gallery Dakshinachitra,Chennai (2023); Come together in Pyeongchang, Jinbu culture, Korea and Art creation studio, India (2022), Experimental Journey, group show at Art Houz gallery Chennai (2022); Connectivity, Solo show at Kadambari art gallery Dakshinachitra, Chennai (2021); Fourscapes, group show at Ashram Gallery, Pondicherry (2020) and many more. He has been involved in various art camps and workshops such as Artist Terracotta camp, Dakshinachitra ECR (2025); Paper mesh workshop, Vizhupuram, ayyan kovil (2010); Terracotta workshop, Cuddalore (2008).
