Based in Hyderabad, Hari Priya has combined her knowledge in Painting and designing, eventually developing a graphical idiom of her sensitivity. Her art blends a familiar, comforting approachability with a poignant undertone. Her ability to visualise, and bring to life, intangible emotions, and turn them into a palpable experience, takes the forefront in her work. Hari Priya is able to transform the confrontation of uncomfortable issues, into a liberating, and a welcoming conversation. Her work encourages introspection and guides the viewer, through imagery that is recognisable and evokes a sense of candour. She believes that art should be a lens, that allows us to not only perceive the world around us, better, but to also allow us a window into our own selves.
