Durgaprasad Bandiverified

Active since 2004

Durgaprasad Bandi’s (b.1985) cyanotype series serves as a confluence of imagination, longing, and lived experiences. Drawing inspiration from a period of seclusion, he began crafting collages rich in allegories, using negatives he meticulously prepared. This reflective time allowed him to delve into archives of old memories with a renewed perspective. His creative process involves carefully planning specimens, crafting various negatives, and employing the cyanotype technique to bring them to life. Some pieces are further enhanced through tea-toning, adding depth and character to the final compositions. These works embody a thoughtful interplay of memory, technique, and artistic experimentation.
