Active since 2018

Anjana Lohithakshan (b.1994) is a visual artist, architect, and photography designer based in Kerala. Lohithakshan was guided to the realm of art by her mother at a very young age. Noted for her unique abstract expressionist & abstract minimalist watercolour works, she primarily explores the dystopian, utopian, and liminal spaces responding to personal narratives and fiction as well as the intuitive artworks that remove elements of self-expression. She's inclined to create unfamiliar landscapes and spaces regardless of the medium. The surprising colour combinations and the unexpected, minute details keep the onlookers returning to the paintings with the same curiosity as their first encounter.
Lohithakshan earned her Bachelor's in Architecture (B.Arch.) from Govt. Engineering college, Thrissur (2012-2017). The artist practised as an architect for a year before pursuing her Master's in Photography Design from the National Institute of Design (2019-2024). Anjana's work has been featured in the New Indian Express, The Unography Mag, Utopian Dystopia NFT Exhibition held at Kochi (2022), Kerala and more.
