Anjali Parekhverified

Active since 2019

Anjali Parekh’s (b. 2000) works are inspired by the quiet, often overlooked corners of nature that exist all around us, and spaces that people frequently ignore, misinterpret or attempt to erase. Anjali has regularly witnessed people controlling nature, treating plants that push through the cracks, roots growing through the walls or the wild growths filling the lands as nuisances or threats. These moments catch her attention, not because they disrupt human spaces, but because they reveal resilience and beauty of nature when left to grow freely. It is both a reflection and a response to how humans interact with the natural world around us. Through visual storytelling and observation, Anjali aims to highlight the often overlooked parts of nature, growing silently in forgotten places, surviving amidst neglect. She makes use of viscosity and collograph printmaking techniques because they allow her to explore a wide range of technical possibilities. The tactile quality of these mediums add depth to the creative process and align closely with the themes of her artworks. Viscosity printing encourages experimentation, where each attempt produces unique outcomes and opens up new creative directions each time. Anjali enjoys working with colours in a playful and intuitive way, selecting a different colour scheme for each composition to reflect its distinct mood and structure.
Anjali Parekh has done Master’s in Visual Arts specialization in Graphic Arts (MSU, Baroda). Her works have been part of Out of Syllabus - Frida Art House (Pune - 2025), Open Studio Artspace (Surat - 2022), BFA Degree show at Ramchandra Tulsian Art Gallery (Surat - 2022) and Kala Pratishthan - Rotary Art Gallery (Surat - 2019).
