As an artist working with several media, I have expressed myself in the still as well as the moving image, in drawings, paintings, photography, and video installations. From the recognisable form for several years, was born the essence of the real when abstraction became the matrix of my work. I continue with my quest of over 40 years, each time engaging with the belief that there is something beyond us in our physical form that makes everything happen. I feel that the feeling of autonomy is just a feeling of an individual manifested out of the timeless one, where the timeless one must somehow manifest itself into form to be able to confirm.
In 2016 at the India Art Fair, I displayed a Video Installation called ‘Causal Nexus’, selected as a project by the IAF. This was a set of 7 videos of duration 3 to 4 minutes each, playing on large screens in a loop with synchronised natural sounds. The visuals in these videos were a combination of images from my paintings, still photographs and videos.
